How Seats Work

Adding Seats

When you invite a new member and they accept, a seat is automatically added to your subscription. You'll be billed for the additional seat on a prorated basis for the current billing period.

Removing Seats

When a member is removed or leaves the team, their seat is removed from your subscription. Your next invoice reflects the reduced seat count.

Seat Count

Your total seats always equals your total team members (including the Owner). There are no unused or reserved seats.

Managing Your Subscription

The team Owner manages billing:

  1. Go to Team Settings
  2. Open the Billing tab
  3. View current seat count, plan details, and invoices
  4. Update payment method or change billing cycle

Only the Owner can access billing settings. Admins and Members cannot view or modify billing.

Upgrading and Downgrading

Upgrading Max to Enterprise

Upgrade from the billing page in team settings. When you upgrade:

  • All seats move to Enterprise pricing immediately
  • You receive prorated credit for the remainder of your current Max billing period
  • All Enterprise features (higher AI Actions, white-label embeds, dynamic row-level security, etc.) become available right away

Downgrading Enterprise to Max

You can downgrade from the billing page. Before downgrading, be aware:

  • Enterprise-only features (white-label embeds, dynamic row-level security) will become unavailable
  • If your current usage exceeds Max plan limits (e.g., more than 10 scheduled playbooks, more than 3 embeds), you'll need to reduce usage before the downgrade can take effect
  • The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period

You cannot downgrade to Max if your current usage exceeds Max plan limits. Reduce your scheduled playbooks, embeds, and file sizes to within Max limits first.

Downgrading to Pro

Downgrading from either Max or Enterprise to Pro removes all team features. Team members will lose access to the shared workspace. Ensure you've exported or migrated any shared content before downgrading.

Downgrading to Pro removes all team functionality. Shared content may become inaccessible to other members.
