AI Agents Overview
Create reusable AI Agents that understand your business, follow your analytical approach, and keep recurring work consistent across chats and artifacts.
AI Agents are reusable analysis configurations for work you do more than once. Instead of repeating your preferred methodology, business definitions, validation checks, and presentation choices in every chat, configure them once and apply the Agent when you need it.
Why Use AI Agents?
Agents help you:
- Start faster with your preferred analysis approach already in place
- Stay consistent across recurring reports and related questions
- Preserve business meaning for metrics, terminology, joins, calendars, and known caveats
- Build in quality checks so important validation steps are not forgotten
- Shape deliverables with default answer depth, output preferences, chart behavior, and branding
- Share repeatable workflows with a team without rewriting instructions
An Agent provides durable guidance, but it does not lock the conversation. Your latest request and Formula Bot's platform and safety constraints take priority.
How Agents Work
Select one Agent for a focused workflow or combine up to five. The first selected Agent is the Lead. It sets the primary approach and default presentation preferences. Additional Agents act as specialists and contribute guidance when it is relevant to the task.
Your request and data flow through a Lead Agent and optional specialists before Formula Bot uses the right analysis tools and creates the answer or artifact.
The selected configuration is saved with the chat. This keeps the chat's Agent behavior stable even if the saved Agent is edited or removed later. Start a new chat when you want the newest published version.
Types of Agents
Starter Agents
Formula Bot starters cover common jobs such as revenue analysis, metric diagnostics, forecasting, operations, marketing performance, and data quality. Use a starter immediately, or open its details and create a customized copy.
Personal Agents
Personal Agents belong to your personal workspace. They are useful for your own recurring responsibilities, preferences, and business context.
Team Agents
Team Agents are available to members of the active team workspace. Use them to standardize definitions, review methods, and deliverable expectations across collaborators.
Agents and Brand Kits
An Agent can:
- Use a specific Brand Kit
- Produce unbranded results
A fixed Agent Brand Kit applies when that Agent is the Lead. You can still choose a different kit—or no branding—for a particular chat.
