Export Formula Bot analysis results as Excel, CSV, or PDF. Download charts as PNG or SVG. Filter, sort, and customize exports before saving.

Formula Bot makes it easy to export your analysis results in various formats. Share insights with your team, include them in presentations, or continue working in other tools.

Export Options

Data Tables

Export any data table generated during your analysis:

How to Export

Exporting Data Tables

  1. Generate a data result in the chat
  2. Look for the export icon in the top-right corner of the table
  3. Click and select your preferred format
  4. The file will download automatically

Exporting Charts

  1. Hover over any chart in your conversation
  2. Click the download icon in the chart toolbar
  3. Choose PNG, SVG, or PDF
  4. The image will download to your device

Exporting the Full Chat

To export your entire conversation including all insights and visualizations:

  1. Click the Export button in the top navigation
  2. Choose your format (PDF recommended for full reports)
  3. Select which parts to include (text, charts, tables)
  4. Download the complete report

Export to PDF when you need to share a complete analysis with stakeholders who don't have Formula Bot access.

Asking for Exports

You can also request exports directly in the chat:

  • "Export this table as Excel"
  • "Download this chart as PNG"
  • "Give me a CSV of the raw data"
  • "Create a PDF report of this analysis"

Formatting Options

Column Selection

When exporting tables, you can specify which columns to include:

  • "Export only the date and revenue columns"
  • "Download this without the ID column"

Sorting

Request sorted exports:

  • "Export sorted by date descending"
  • "Download with highest values first"

Filtering

Export subsets of your data:

  • "Export only rows where status is 'Active'"
  • "Download just the top 100 records"

Scheduled Exports

For recurring reports, consider using Playbooks:

  1. Create a Playbook with your analysis steps
  2. Schedule it to run daily, weekly, or monthly
  3. Results are automatically saved and can be exported

Data Privacy

When exporting:

  • Exports contain only the data you've explicitly generated
  • Files are downloaded directly to your device
  • Formula Bot doesn't store copies of your exports

Be mindful of sensitive data when sharing exports. Remove PII or confidential information before distributing.

Troubleshooting Exports

Large Files

For very large datasets:

  • Export in chunks: "Export the first 10,000 rows"
  • Use CSV format for better performance
  • Consider filtering to relevant data first

Formatting Issues

If Excel formatting looks wrong:

  • Try CSV format and open in Excel manually
  • Request specific number formatting: "Format revenue as currency"

Missing Data

If exports are incomplete:

  • Ensure the full analysis ran successfully
  • Check if any filters are applied
  • Try regenerating the table before exporting
