Data Connectors Overview
Connect Tableau, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Supabase, BigQuery, Snowflake, MSSQL, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Search Console to Formula Bot for real-time data analysis.
Data Connectors allow you to query spreadsheets, BI collections, databases, and analytics platforms directly from Formula Bot. Instead of exporting data manually, connect once and analyze in real-time.

How Connectors Work
- Connect - Authenticate with your data source
- Configure - Select tables, files, or BI collections and set access controls
- Query - Ask questions in natural language
- Analyze - Get insights without writing SQL
Formula Bot translates your questions into appropriate queries and returns the results.
You don't need to know SQL. Formula Bot writes the queries for you based on your natural language questions.
Setting Up a Connector
- Go to Connectors in the sidebar
- Click Add Connector
- Select your data source type
- Follow the connection wizard
- Test the connection
Each connector has specific setup requirements. See the individual guides for details.
Managing Connectors
View Connection Status
Check if your connectors are active and functioning:
- Green = Connected and working
- Yellow = Token expiring soon
- Red = Connection failed
Edit Configuration
Update connection settings:
- Change credentials
- Modify table access
- Refresh synced BI assets and collections
- Update knowledge base settings
Delete Connector
Remove a connection when no longer needed. This doesn't affect your source data.
Advanced Features
Knowledge Base
For SQL databases, enable Knowledge Base to:
- Index your table structures
- Improve query accuracy
- Get better natural language understanding
BI Collections
For Tableau, create collections to:
- Attach selected dashboards and views to chat
- Keep users in a connector workflow instead of file uploads
- Query extract-backed datasources when extract access is available
Data Access Controls
Restrict what the AI can see:
- Row-level filtering
- Column exclusions
- Table restrictions
Use Data Access Controls when connecting to databases with sensitive information you don't want included in analysis.
