Import Excel, CSV, and TSV files from Microsoft SharePoint document libraries into Formula Bot for AI chats, dashboards, charts, and reports.

Connect SharePoint to choose files from Microsoft document libraries and import them into Formula Bot for AI-powered analysis.

Prerequisites

  • A Microsoft work or school account
  • Access to the SharePoint document library and file you want to analyze
  • A supported spreadsheet or tabular file

Some Microsoft organizations require administrator approval before users can connect third-party apps. If Microsoft blocks the sign-in, ask your tenant admin to approve Formula Bot.

Setup Steps

1. Open SharePoint Import

  1. Go to Dashboard
  2. Click Add Data
  3. Select SharePoint

Formula Bot opens the Microsoft SharePoint file picker.

2. Sign In and Select a File

  1. Sign in with your Microsoft work or school account if prompted
  2. Approve the requested SharePoint access
  3. Choose one or more Excel, CSV, or TSV files from a document library
  4. Click Open or Select

Formula Bot imports the selected files and redirects you back to the dashboard when the files are ready.

3. Analyze the File

Use the imported files in AI chat, dashboards, charts, reports, and spreadsheet workflows. Formula Bot reads the imported copies and leaves the source SharePoint files unchanged.

Supported Files

SharePoint imports work best with structured data:

  • Excel workbooks
  • CSV files
  • TSV files

This connector imports files from SharePoint document libraries. It does not import SharePoint Lists in this first version.

Troubleshooting

Microsoft Sign-In Failed

  • Confirm you are using a work or school Microsoft account
  • Your organization may require admin approval for Formula Bot
  • Try signing out of extra Microsoft accounts and connecting again

Picker Did Not Open

  • Allow popups for Formula Bot
  • Refresh the dashboard and try again
  • Check whether your browser is blocking Microsoft sign-in windows

File Did Not Import

  • Confirm the file is an Excel, CSV, or TSV file
  • Make sure the file still exists in the SharePoint document library
  • Confirm your Microsoft account can read the document library
  • Try selecting the file again from the SharePoint picker

Security Notes

Formula Bot uses Microsoft OAuth and imports only the file you choose. The connector does not edit, delete, or overwrite files in SharePoint.
