Google Drive

Import spreadsheet and tabular files from Google Drive into Formula Bot for AI chats, dashboards, reports, and analysis.

Connect Google Drive to choose files from your Drive and import them into Formula Bot without downloading and re-uploading them manually.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account
  • A Google Drive file you can access
  • A supported spreadsheet or tabular file

Setup Steps

1. Open Google Drive Import

  1. Go to Dashboard
  2. Click Add Data
  3. Select Google Drive

Formula Bot opens the Google Drive picker so you can choose a file from your account.

2. Sign In and Select a File

  1. Sign in with Google if prompted
  2. Grant the requested access
  3. Choose one or more Excel, CSV, TSV, or spreadsheet files
  4. Click Select

Formula Bot imports the selected files and attaches them to your workspace.

3. Analyze the File

After the import finishes, use the files in AI chat, dashboards, charts, or reports. You can ask questions in plain English and Formula Bot will analyze the imported data.

Supported Files

Google Drive imports work best with structured data:

  • Excel workbooks
  • CSV files
  • TSV files
  • Google Sheets-compatible spreadsheet exports

  • "Summarize this Drive file by month"
  • "Which customers are missing renewal dates?"
  • "Create a dashboard from this file"
  • "Find duplicate IDs across sheets"
  • "Show the top 10 rows by revenue"

Troubleshooting

Picker Did Not Open

  • Make sure popups are allowed for Formula Bot
  • Try refreshing the dashboard and opening Google Drive again
  • Confirm your browser is not blocking third-party sign-in windows

File Did Not Import

  • Confirm the file type is supported
  • Check that your Google account has access to the file
  • Try exporting Google-native sheets as a spreadsheet-compatible file if needed

Data Looks Incomplete

  • Put headers in the first row when possible
  • Avoid blank rows above the table
  • Split unrelated tables into separate tabs
  • Keep one consistent table per sheet or file section

Security Notes

Formula Bot uses Google OAuth and imports only files you explicitly select. The connector does not edit, delete, or overwrite your source Google Drive files.
